Reliability & cost optimization

Performance tuning, resilience engineering and cloud cost management for production workloads.

Overview

Production systems need to be fast, resilient and affordable, and those goals are easier to balance when they are managed deliberately. We help organizations improve the reliability of critical services and bring cloud spend under control without compromising performance.

On reliability, we define service level objectives with the business, then review architecture, dependencies and failure modes. We implement improvements such as redundancy, autoscaling, graceful degradation and tested backup and recovery, and we run game days to prove systems behave as expected under stress. Incident processes and post-incident reviews are strengthened so lessons turn into lasting fixes.

On cost, we apply FinOps practices: tagging and allocation so spend is visible by team and product, rightsizing and scheduling of resources, management of commitments and savings plans, and architecture changes where they offer the biggest savings. We set up dashboards and governance routines so cost stays managed after the initial optimization effort.

What you receive

  1. 01Service level objectives and reliability assessment
  2. 02Resilience improvements and recovery test results
  3. 03Cost visibility through tagging, allocation and dashboards
  4. 04Prioritized savings opportunities and implemented optimizations
  5. 05Ongoing FinOps and reliability governance routines

Technologies we work with

  • AWS Cost Explorer
  • Azure Cost Management
  • Google Cloud Billing
  • Datadog
  • Prometheus and Grafana
  • Kubecost
  • k6

We are technology-agnostic: tools are chosen to fit your requirements and existing investments.

Questions we often hear

Will cost optimization affect performance?

It should not if it is done carefully. We base changes on actual utilization data, test them before applying them to production and track performance alongside cost to catch any impact.

Is this a one-off review or an ongoing service?

Both are possible. Many clients start with a focused assessment and optimization sprint, then adopt ongoing FinOps routines run by their own teams, with periodic support from us.
